What A Stunner

My dear cousin Shaneo had his 24th birthday recently, and I took my camera along to get some snaps of his gorgeous little girl, Hayley. Check these out...

Are those the most gorgeous eyes you've ever seen or what?

Look at those two little toofers :)

High 5 Uncle Paddy!

If only everything in life were that funny :)

Aww, kisses from Daddy :)

The Wonders of Photoshop

This is my first ever attempt at using Photoshop to edit my photos. What do you think? :) The original in below if you want to compare the 'before' and 'after'. I like it :)

I Love Winter

I know most people hate winter, but I love it. I love how green the countryside gets. Its just gorgeous.

Another thing I love that most people hate, is cemeteries. I love the history and the old monuments like the angel in the picture above.

And the last picture just captured my 'arty' side. I think it looks cool with the grass growing up through the rough old dirt :)

Simple Pleasures

My gorgeous niece, Darcy, was tortured with a photo shoot yesterday. Its was a bit impromptu, but I still managed to get a few decent pictures. These pictures epitomise childhood to me - simple pleasures like going on the swing, hanging out with Gramp, and running around in Gran's garden are all fond memories of mine as well (except for me, it was Nanna & Poppa, not Gran & Gramp).

And I'm sure you'll have noticed that I'm quite fond of the B&W setting. I haven't had much good natural light at the moment (with the cloud cover and the sun shining strongly behind, it can make for a bit blary lighting, but the B&W softens it and creates a gorgeous picture... well, in my opinion anyway!).

Yep, I Trained Him To Do This

Chopper is such an attention seeker but he doesn't keep still very often, so he had this quite concerned look as I kept telling him to sit and stay. I thought I was all lined up for a nice portrait shot of him, and then he winked! :) And I love Ginnie's expression in the second photo. Its as if grass is their chocolate.

Spring Is Coming...

This was actually a really hard picture to take because it was so windy. I love watching these little gum blossoms dance in the wind. Spring is finally on its way :)

What's In A Name?

I love the word Zephyr. Always have. And while I do not consider myself a professional photographer in the slightest (I'd describe myself as very amature), in order to create a blog (I want to share my pictures with everyone, but they're too big to email), I had to come up with a name. So what could be better than one of my favourite words? The word Zephyr comes from the Greek god, Zephyrus. Zephyrus is the god of the west wind, the wind that is gentle and the messenger of spring. Although, according to Wikipedia, Zephyrus also married his sister Iris (the goddess of the rainbow), and had children with his other two sisters, Chloris and Podarge. Ok, so not the best role model, but still has a cool name.
